Things Certified Coaches Want You to Know About Coaching

Recently, I was doing some coaching business development, and I worked with this one potential client. We spoke a couple of weeks ago, having a fabulous conversation. I hung up the phone feeling excited about hopefully working together.

I didn’t hear back from her.

My gut said “chase this one down”; so I did. We connected again for a sample coaching session. Ironically, her topic was “Finding Clarity” about why she was being so indecisive with her coach selection.

Result: In 45 minutes, I coached her to a place of being decisive and choosing a coach. We decided to start in one month.

So this, of course, got me thinking… What do I want people to know about coaching?

The ICF defines coaching as partnering in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires a person to maximize their personal and professional potential.

Sometimes we, as humans, get stuck and can’t see through what might be standing in our way of creating and having the life and/or career we want. This is when working with a coach might be the magic you need to create that movement again.

Here are a few things I’d love for you to know about the experience of working with a coach:

  • It's a co-created partnership; side by side. We embark on your journey together. With you in the driver’s seat the entire time.

  • You will be asked powerful questions to encourage exploration that will eventually result in reaching a new depth in life and/or career.

  • You will be guided through self-discovery and building self-awareness.

  • Coaches help to unlock the answers you already have within you.

  • We’ll help you build your confidence, and in turn, you’ll empower yourself in ways you may have not thought possible.

  • Coaches provide support for your accountability while helping you find new perspectives in your life.

  • Being present and listening.

And, it’s a transformative experience; your life will never be the same after working with a coach. GUARANTEED!! If you’re interested in learning more, take a look at my services here!
